Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson comes from a musical family. Her childhood was spent listening to classical Boleros from the past as well as classic romantic songs and the Ranchero style. Ana loves tangos, opera, and all forms of dramatic performance. Following her singing lessons with mom, she started more serious singing lessons at the age of 16 under the guidance of the renowned Mexican tenor FlavioBecerra. In Guadalajara she studied at the School of Music of University of Guadalajara before moving on to Toluca at The School of Sacred Music. She sang in Guadalajara, Mexico City and different cities when she was a young musician and student. Following her move from Mexico to America in 2000, she performed with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. She has performed solo Latin American music for private functions and as a member Ensemble XXI in Redlands. Her love and passion in music, art and performing has her involved with a variety of local initiatives as a teacher and performer. Ana is also a previous part of the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana is hoping that, with her performance of Latin American traditional songs, that she will bring about a desire, specifically for the young generation, for keeping this music vibrant.
